Every Saturday the volunteers go to a tourist town to do some site seeing/shopping. This week we went to Mamaluperum!!! It was tons of fun! Mamaluperum is the stone carving capital of the world so there were all kinds of cool temples carved out of single boulders. There was also this huge boulder called butter ball. It sits on the side of the hill but doesn't roll down!!! It's super cool!
After the sight seeing we went shopping!!! It was so fun! In India you get to barter for everything! It was awesome. The only downside is that while you are walking, gypsies and salesmen will swarm you and try to force you to buy something!!! One man followed Dale for half an hour! One salesman was following me and I turned to him and said "I have no money" and that was the last we saw of him. With everyone following us it was kinda scary at first but after a while it just seemed funny. It was such a fun day in Mamaluperum!!!
